Version 25.0.3

This is a gradual rollout update focused on bug fixes. Key issues addressed include:

• Sync process: Fixed an issue where the sync would stop if a user was removed from the sync source (e.g., Active Directory).

• Application server performance: Resolved issues with excessive memory usage, high CPU usage, and slow UI performance.

• UI and reporting: Fixed display issues with the "license expired" message, incorrect Vietnamese currency symbols in PDF reports, and unavailable Print Archiving previews in Arabic.

• Device integration: Fixed issues related to Hebrew language selection causing devices to become unresponsive and login errors. Addressed an SNMP v3 issue with Xerox devices.

Version 25.0.2

This is a major release with significant new features and infrastructure improvements. It is a gradual rollout and requires customers to review important upgrade information, especially if upgrading from older versions.

Important Upgrade Information:

• Version 25 introduces breaking changes and new internet connection requirements.

• Job Ticketing and Payment Gateways components must be updated to their latest versions after upgrading.

New Features:

• Advanced Scanning:

  • Allows system administrators to collect validated metadata at the MFD, enhancing workflow automation.

  • Adds new field types, including text, numeric, dropdown lists, CSV data lookups, and user lookups.

  • Allows fields to be marked as mandatory.

  • Adds Advanced Scan to Fax support for Linux environments.

• Core Infrastructure & Security:

  • Includes significant upgrades to third-party dependencies for improved security.

  • Introduces the Z Garbage Collector (ZGC) for reduced application pause times and better performance.

  • Improves the display of currency signs and formatting.

• Database Driver Management:

  • The "About" tab in the Admin Interface now shows database and driver versions for easier troubleshooting.

  • Updating to new drivers is now a deliberate, manual step, giving administrators more control.

Fixes:

• Core fixes:

  • Resolved an issue with login loops for users with Azure AD and MFA enabled.

  • Ensured existing external database drivers are persistent after an upgrade.

• Device Integration:

  • Enhancements: Adds Advanced Scan to Fax support for various devices (Lexmark, Sharp, etc.) and automatic page size detection for Integrated Scan actions.

  • Fixes: Resolved issues with scanning simplex jobs on a flatbed, card association errors with MFA, and text cutoff on Lexmark devices.

• Print Provider:

  • Fixed incorrect job recounting when jobs were redirected to another printer, especially with Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, or Italian system languages.

  • Corrected an incorrect version number displayed by the PaperCut MF Client installer.

General Notes:

• Some devices require an updated version of the embedded software to access new features.

• Version 25.0.3 does not contain a database upgrade, while 25.0.2 does.
